House tours of Austwick Hall and garden visits are available for groups by prior arrangement (minimum 8 people) £8 per person.
Austwick Hall is a Yorkshire Dales manor house steeped in history. Once owned by Sir John Yorke, master of the mint for Edward VI, it has also been home to Sir Charles Ingleby and many other interesting characters. Re-built in the late 16th century the Hall contains a wealth of original features.
Set in the dramatic limestone scenery of the Dales the garden nestles into a steeply wooded hillside. Over the last sixteen years the borders have been replanted and work continues to develop the garden.
* Snowdrop Walks each Sunday in February, noon to 4pm with light refreshments in the Hall *
In February the extensive drifts of snowdrops are an impressive sight in the woodland. These are followed by wild daffodils and bluebells. The woodland also contains a sculpture trail which can be enjoyed throughout the year.
